Frequently asked questions
Does the power have to be off during the job?
Often it does, for part of the house. The tradesperson switches off the circuit before the work starts. Make sure the meter cupboard is easy to reach.
What if the existing connection is not safe?
Then the tradesperson tells you first. Together you discuss what is needed before the work goes on. Extra work only happens if you agree.
